When I first started writing The Amatherean Tales, I chose a main character who, for all intents and purposes, was based on a real-life person. Yes, there is always literary license to adapt and adopt, but the thoughts and feelings are those of a real human. This has raised questions and criticism during my writing journey, where individuals have commented about choices, reactions or behaviours. The story doesn't follow what could be deemed a standard Genre approach when it comes to the main character, and that's what makes the story unique. I know that for some, as mentioned, this has caused conflict, or for some, to go so far as to say that the main character is a moron. However, to ensure a sense of realism, I decided to ground many aspects accordingly.  I hope you enjoy the Tale.
